The Cathodic Protection Tester Certification by Examination Only Option consists of a 2-hour written examination and a 2-hour hands-on practical examination. The written exam is open book so that candidates can bring their own references, however the practical exam is closed book. Students seeking certification who are not taking the CP 1-Cathodic Protection Tester Course will take the same written and practical examinations which are offered in this course. Exam only candidates will be sent a CP1-Cathodic Protection Tester Course manual at the time of registration. Examinations will be offered the day following regularly scheduled CP 1-Cathodic Protection Tester Course offerings (the last day of the course).
